The Indian Coast Guard Navik exam pattern is qualifying in nature that means aspirants intending to be considered for the post of Sailor in Indian Coast Guards are required to clear each level of the exam. Those who qualify written test will undergo Physical Fitness Test and Medical Examination (Preliminary).
INDIAN COAST GUARD NAVIK (GENERAL DUTY), NAVIK (DOMESTIC BRANCH) 02/2021 BATCH -
Educational Qualification -
a) Navik (General Duty) - 10+2 passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
b) Navik (Domestic Branch) - 10th Class passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
Age -
Minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years as follows: -
(a) For Navik (GD) - Born between 01 Aug 1999 to 31 Jul 2003 (both dates inclusive).
(b) For Navik (DB) - Born between 01 Oct 1999 to 30 Sep 2003 (both dates inclusive)
INDIAN COAST GUARD NAVIK (DOMESTIC BRANCH) 10th ENTRY 01/2021 BATCH -
Educational Qualification - 10th Class with 50% marks in aggregate from a board of Education recognized by Central / State Government (5% relaxation in above minimum cut off will be given for SC / ST candidates and outstanding sports person of National level who have obtained Ist, IInd or IIIrd position in any field of sports events at the Open National Championship/ Inter-state National Championship.
Job Requirement -
(i) Cook - They would be required to prepare food as per menu (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian including handling of meat products) and accounting of ration. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties for efficient running of the organisation.
ii) Steward - They would be required to serve food in the Officer’s mess as waiters, housekeeping, maintenance and accounting of funds, wine and stores handling, preparation of menu etc. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties for efficient running of the organisation.
Age - 18 to 22 years as on 01 Apr 2021 i.e. born between 01 Apr 1999 to 31 Mar 2003, both dates are inclusive. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates).
Indian Coast Guard Navik/Sailor 2021 Registration and Application Form:-
Applications can be downloaded from the Indian Coast Guard website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in/downloads.html and the filled application be sent by Ordinary Post only.
(a) The application is to be submitted on plain paper in the form appended below (typed / hand written in English /Hindi) and is to be sent to the address of the respective Zonal recruitment Centre.
(b) The type of entry, choice of Centre and percentage of marks of 10th class board examination is to be clearly written on the top of the envelope
.
(c) Copies (not returnable) of 10th class marks sheet and pass certificates, caste certificate ( SC, ST, OBC as per Govt. of India format), Age Proof, Domicile, Sports certificate attested by Gazetted Officer, one recent passport size colour photograph (Not older than one month) and a self-addressed (unstamped) envelop of size 22x10 cms are to be attached with the application. All enclosures must be stapled/ tagged with the application.

Indian Coast Guard Navik 2021 Exam Pattern:-
Written Test:-
The written tests will be of objective type, which will generally cover subjects such as Maths, Physics, basic Chemistry, knowledge of English upto 12th standard, general knowledge, current affairs, quantitative aptitude and reasoning.
Those who qualify written tests will undergo Physical Fitness Test and Medical Examination (Preliminary).
The PFT will consist as under:-
1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes.
20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak)
10 Push ups.
